Medvedev replaced the director of the Lenin Library

Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev replaced the general director of the Russian State Library. Instead of Vladimir Gnezdilov, the head of the library of foreign literature Vadim Duda was appointed to this position. The prime minister’s order was published on the portal of legal information.

Duda was appointed to the post of head of the RSL for five years. Whether he will continue to work in a library of foreign literature, not reporting.

Gnezdilov has been working in the RSL since 1999. For the past two years, he served as the general director, and before that he was an executive director.

As the source of RBC stated , the reason for the dismissal of Gnezdilov was “flaws in many matters”.

Earlier, the Deputy Director of the RSA for external relations and exhibition activities, Natalya Samoilenko, said that she had not heard about the upcoming dismissal of Gnezdilov. In the Ministry of Culture and apparatus of Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets refused to comment. Vadim Duda also refused to comment on information about his alleged appointment.
