
Dmitry Medvedev appointed the former acting head of the Primorsky Territory Andrei Tarasenko to the post of deputy head of the Federal Agency of Sea and River transport (Rosmorrechflot). It is reported by TASS.
Earlier it was reported that Tarasenko could be appointed to the post of deputy minister of transport.
On September 26, Putin dismissed Tarasenko from the post of acting head of the region and appointed Oleg Kozhemyako in his place, who previously led Sakhalin, the Amur Region and the Koryak Autonomous Okrug.
Andrei Tarasenko participated in the elections of the governor of Primorye from United Russia. In the second round of voting after processing 95% of ballots with a margin of 6%, the Candidate of the Communist Party Andrei Ishchenko was the leader. But after counting all the votes, according to official figures, Tarasenko won the election. The Central Election Commission canceled the voting results and appointed the third tour.
