In Moscow, ex-minister of transport of Ukraine, who threw stone at the Russian embassy, ​​was arrested in Moscow

The former Minister of Transport of Ukraine Nikolai Rudkovsky was detained and arrested in Moscow. This was reported by the Moscow Agency with reference to a source in law enforcement agencies.

According to investigators, in June 2014, Rudkovsky threw a stone at the Russian Embassy in Kyiv. In Russia, a criminal case was opened against him under Article 360 ​​of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attack on persons or institutions that enjoy international protection). In May 2016, the Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested him in absentia.

The riots of the Russian embassy in 2014 occurred after the IL-76 Ukrainian Air Force plane was shot down near Lugansk. All 49 people who were on board were killed. Participants in the riots broke all the windows of the embassy, ​​removed the flag from the flagpole and turned the parked cars. According to estimates of the IC of the Russian Federation, material damage from the attack amounted to more than 18.8 million rubles.
