On September 26, the heads of Chechnya and Ingushetia Ramzan Kadyrov and Yunus-Bek Evkurov signed an agreement on consolidating the border between the regions. The republics exchanged the territories of the Malgobecsky district of Ingushetia and the Nadtererchny district of Chechnya.
The press service of Yevkurov announced that the deputies of the People’s Assembly of Ingushetia adopted an agreement on the establishment of an administrative border between Chechnya and Ingushetia. Allegedly, out of 25 deputies, 17 voted for ratification, the three were against it, the rest abstained. Later, the deputies of Seid-Salam Achilgov, Yevloev Bay-Ali and Zelimkhan Ozdev said that the parliament of Ingushetia did not ratify the agreement. According to them, the vote was secret. In total, 24 deputies were present at the meeting, 15 voted against, four ruined the ballots and 5 spoke out for.
The residents of Magas, who went to the rally to parliament, demanded a second vote.
