The German company Volkswagen announced the beginning of the second large -scale program for the disposal of old diesel cars, Deutsche Welle reports.
The program provides for the payment of an “ecological bonus” to car owners who rent in Germany the old diesel engines of any brands. When buying cars Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda, the owners of old diesel machines of any brands offer two discount options.
The first stage of this campaign lasted from August 2017 to June 2018. This made it possible to launch more than 210 thousand old diesel cars with a particularly high level of harmful substances in exhaust gases.
