In Simferopol, the case of Marlen Mustafaev, a Crimean Tatar activist, was closed

In Simferopol, a court dismissed a criminal case against Marlen Mustafayev, a Crimean Tatar activist, by imposing a court fine of 50,000 rubles.

On November 3, 2018, it became known that the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol, at the request of the investigator, dismissed the criminal case, initiated under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting hatred) in relation to Marlene Mustafaev, Crimean Tatar activist, imposing a court fine in the amount of 50 thousand rubles.

M. Mustafaev was detained in September 2018 for publishing video, was under arrest for 12 days for displaying Hizb ut-Tahrir symbols, after This was under a written undertaking not to leave.

According to journalist Anton Naumlyuk, M. Mustafayev admitted that he published the video under pressure from security officials who threatened file a case against his wife.
