Kurchatov: one and a half years of correctional labor for “extremist” posts on the social network

In the Kursk region, a court found a 25-year-old local resident guilty of publicly inciting extremism and sentenced him to a year and a half of hard labor.

On November 11, 2018, it became known that in the Kursk region, the Kurchatovsky District Court found a 25-year-old local resident guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism on the Internet). The court sentenced him to one and a half years of corrective labor with the deduction of 15% of his earnings to the state.

According to the materials of the case, on his page on VKontakte, the young man published materials calling for violence "against persons of non-Slavic nationality." Unfortunately, we don't know what materials we are talking about.   Sources
