
The Israeli writer Amos Oz died at the age of 79, reports The Jerusalem Post. According to Reuters, the writer died of cancer.
Amos Oz is the author of numerous articles and an essay on the Arab-Israeli conflict. He participated in the six -day war as part of the tank troops on the Sinai Peninsula and in the Judgment War at the Golan Heights.
The writer’s novel “My Michael” is included in the list of the hundred best novels of the XX century according to the International Association of Publishers.
Amos Oz was awarded to Goethe’s Prize, Kafka Awards, Prince of Asturia, Israeli Prize, in 2018, he became the laureate of the Russian Yasnaya Polyana Prize in the nomination “Foreign Literature”.
