Suvorov: the case against the leader of the "Partisan Truth of the Partisans" Alexei Menyailov and his wife Slatana was dropped

In May 2019, the Suvorovsky District Court of the Tula Region dismissed the case against the founder movement "Partisan Truth of the Partisans" by Alexei Menyailov and his wife Slatany Menyailova, who were accused of creating and publishing on the Internet videos directed against women. The case was closed due to the partial decriminalization of Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code.

On May 7, 2019, the Suvorovsky District Court of the Tula Region ruled in a case against Alexei Menyailov, the founder of the Partisan Truth movement, and his wife, Slatana Menyailova.

Recall that they were accused under Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (excitation hatred) for publishing videos that, according to investigators, were directed against women. According to the case file, Menyailov wrote the text for the videos and slandered him on camera, and his wife filmed them and published them on the Internet. IN January 2019, the prosecution requested that the case be dismissed due to partial decriminalization Art. 282 of the Criminal Code, however, the defendants were against it, stating that will seek full justification.

As a result, the court did not take the side of the defendants, recognizing that the original accusation was justified. The case was dismissed not on the basis of an acquittal, but in connection with the above-mentioned decriminalization of Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code.

Recall that media information about which videos were included in fact, it differs. According to some data, we are talking about the video "Ahnenerbe against the NKVD or the nuances of a ram blow" and "Why is it easier for oligophrenic educators gain power", according to others: "What do the mothers of Hitler and Poroshenko?" and "Why are girls in such a hurry to give?", on the third, common supporters of Menyailov - all of the above plus more several: "Prostitutes of the 74th company", "What a woman's face, who wants you?", "Why are girls talking on the phone in negligee", "The roots of Krupskaya's fierce hatred for Stalin and the heroes in general" and "Why is a dumb woman considered sexy preferred?". In December 2018, all 9 videos were banned due to decision of the Suvorovsky District Court and have already been included in the Federal list of extremist materials (para. 4835 - 4843).

We have reviewed the incriminated videos. Almost in all women are called epithets like "women", "giver", "heifers", "loafers", etc., and are also given all sorts of constructions, exposing women as a source of various the misfortunes of mankind. Moreover, in at least one of the videos - "Why it is easier for oligophrenic educators to gain power" - Menyailov claims that in "old women have all the power" and actually justifies the use of violence, telling a certain story, like criminal activity gangs of ethnic Chechens allegedly managed to stop by killing an elderly ethnic Chechen.

Although we did not find in Menyailov’s reasoning of direct calls for violence, numerous insults in combined with the systematic utterance of varying degrees of severity of accusations of the address of women, from our point of view, should be interpreted as arousal hate.

Menyailov and his wife were detained in June 2018 year, and in July the court decided to keep them in custody. In the same June 2018 in the city of Suvorov, where the followers of Partizanskaya Pravda partisans" built the "Museum of the Heroes of the Great Patriotic War", about 20 more supporters of Menyailov were detained. All of them were soon released. without being charged. In January 2019, the court decided to change preventive measures for Menyailov and his wife, and the couple was released from the pre-trial detention center under House arrest. The trial of the case began in January 2019.
