Crimea: the criminal case under Art. 282

In January 2019, in Crimea, the investigation ceased criminal prosecution against the Crimean Tatar activist Gulsum Aliyeva, who was accused of inciting national hatred.

IN January 2019 in the Crimea in Alushta, the investigator ruled due to the lack corpus delicti to terminate the case of Gulsum Aliyeva, who was accused under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting a national hate). This decision is connected with the partial decriminalization of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code.

On July 19, 2018, a search was carried out in Aliyeva’s house, later it became known about initiation of a criminal case. According to the prosecution, Aliyeva placed in social network Facebook a non-existent quote from the philosopher Ivan Ilyin.
