The limousines of the Cortege project will be collected in the UAE

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia signed an agreement with the Emirates company Tawazun on the assembly of limousines of the Cortege project under the Aurus brand in the UAE. About this writes "Kommersant".

According to the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, Tawazun will receive a share of 36% in Aurus LLC, a joint enterprise to promote the Aurus project, and invest € 110 million in it over the next three years.

In addition, the Emirate Company will become the general distributor of the Aurus model line in the countries of the Middle East and North Africa.

The Aurus SUV prototype, according to Manturov, will be ready in March 2019.

The project “Unified Modular Platform” (“Cortege”) has been implemented since 2013 by order of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The initial 12.4 billion rubles were allocated for it, it was supposed to create a limousine for the President of Russia and the support machines of the first persons of the state. On May 7, 2018, Vladimir Putin first used this limousine at the inauguration ceremony.
