The head of the Vologda branch of the “For Human Rights” movement Grigory Winter was sent to a psychiatric examination to an open -type psychiatric hospital. This was announced this by the head of the movement Lev Ponomarev. “Winter was read out a court decision, but he was not given him to his hands. I do not know how the events would develop further, we were afraid that he would be sent to a closed psychiatric hospital for prisoners. Fortunately, this did not happen, we talked on the phone, ”said Ponomarev.
According to him, now lawyers are preparing complaints about a court decision on a compulsory examination.
Earlier, Lev Ponomerv said that Winter was sent for treatment on the application of the mayor of Cherepovets Elena Avdeeva. Ponomarev believes that the reason was the appeal of activists, including Winter, to the Governor of the Vologda Oblast Oleg Kuvshinnikov demanding the resignation of Avdeeva.
At a court session, Winter asked to transfer him and conduct in closed mode due to the fact that information about his health was announced on him. The judge refused this. Winter left the meeting in protest. In his absence, a decision was made on a forced psychiatric examination. According to Ponomarev, on February 19, Winter was forcibly taken to a psychiatric hospital.
In early February, activists demanded the resignation of Avdeeva because of the situation around the cutting of the Pulovsky forest. The authorities planned to cut down part of the trees for the construction of residential buildings. The other day, the court canceled the deforestation.
