Dmitry Dyomushkin left the colony

Nationalist Dmitry Demushkin was released from a colony in the Vladimir region.

On February 20, 2019, it became known that the Petushinsky District Court of the Vladimir Region decided to release Dmitry Dyomushkin, the ex-leader of the banned Russian Union and the banned organization Slavic Union, from IK-2 ahead of schedule.

On the day of his release, employees of the Department for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs came to Dyomushkin's home. They handed him a summons to the Department for the Protection of the Constitutional Order and Combating Terrorism of the FSB, where he was to arrive on February 21. Later it became known that law enforcement officers asked Dyomushkin to be registered as a convicted person, but he refused, referring to the annulment of his sentence by the court.

Recall that in April 2017, the court found Demushkin guilty under Part 1 of Art. 282 of the Criminal Code (inciting ethnic hatred) and sentenced him to 2.5 years in prison in a penal colony. His release is connected with the partial decriminalization of the charges article.
