Samara: fine for xenophobic posts on VKontakte

In Samara, the court fined a local resident for 100 thousand rubles.

On January 25, 2019, it became known that in Samara, the Bogatovsky District Court found Alexander M., born in 1994, guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism) and fined him 100 thousand rubles.

It is also reported that initially the charge also contained Art. 282 of the Criminal Code, but, probably, the court stopped the prosecution of the young man on her due to her partial decriminalization .

According to the materials of the case, the Samara citizen published some xenophobic posts on his VKontakte page. Their content, unfortunately, is not known to us.   Sources
