Facebook unlocked the pages of the company that published RT videos. There was information about their connection with Russia

The social network Facebook unlocked the pages of the Maffick Media media company registered in Berlin. This was reported by Anissa Naway, who conducts one of the unlocked projects in RT "In the Now".

At the same time, the section “Information” appeared that “in the now” belongs to Naay and the video agency Ruptly, which is owned by RT.

The representative of Facebook told CNN that he unlocked the pages after Maffick, at the request of the social network, revealed their connection with maternal companies. The social network concluded that now users know who is behind these pages.

On February 18, it became known that Facebook blocked the pages of SOAPBOX, WASTE-ED, as well as BackThen, which belong to MAFFICK Media. On February 16, CNN published a material that said that Maffick Media is funded by the Russian government, but does not advertise this. The videos for the most part are taken from RT broadcasts and “affect American youth,” said in the CNN material.

According to RT representatives, they never hid that 51% of the Maffick Media shares belong to Ruptly, and the remaining share belongs to the leading project “In the Now” Anissa Naway, which works on RT in the United States.
