Yuri Shevchuk and the DDT group tour around the country with the retrospective program "History of Sound", which premiere of which took place in the fall of 2016. In Tomsk, the full hall of the local palace of spectacles and sports gathered at the DDT concert - 4 thousand people. After the concert, Yuri Shevchuk gave an interview to the "News News Agency".
Shevchuk himself begins the first interview:
- How do you like the concert? - Yuri asks us on the move.
- Amazing.
- Fine?
- The word "normal" does not really reflect how it was. It was cool!
- There was such an emotionally torn concert. Many musicians, I notice, hold emotional balance. One, two moods. Not rich. There is no scatter of emotions. Theater. From the tragedy to euphoria. And this is very important - a person who came to the concert is to swing emotionally. So that he is not indifferent, empathizes.

- Do you build the whole drama of the concert in advance?
- Yes, sure! So that there was not just a cheerful rock and roll, but to have a theater. There is a through action. Of course, everything is thought out. Rock and roll also holds this load on itself, this emotional rainbow just like any other musical form. We have lithors, and they have some kind of such sound of a river-a spring, breaking ice. It is very beautiful.
- About twenty years ago, when you were on the air of TV2 ...
- Yes ( interrupting Yuri Shevchuk ). Your television company buried . Bureaucracy buried. They don't need you. They need to be exactly. Today I talked about rock and rollingman, about the poet, about the artist who stands above the abyss, between bright and dark, cold and hot, on the draft on this. Drafts give birth to a runny nose of creativity ... The risks of understanding, and officials do not want anything. Why, so that a person thinks something there, doubt?
- Yes, and here is one of the spectators TV2 then asked you: "You have glory, you are adored by millions of people, and what do you lack in life?" You thought a little and answered: "Love. We all lack love." Now, how would you answer this question?
- Absolutely the same would answer this question. Love is always not enough.
- Why?
- Don't know. Such was born. I am surrounded by love, of course, relatives and friends. Yes, there is a lot of light. But, it seems to me, it would be possible to develop this weightless substance more. So that love drags you through life all the time. Today I talked a lot about her at the concert. After all, now little is talking about this feeling. Lennon, Beatles - Canm Buy Me Love ... All love. I'm an old hip! Here are the same 1960s on which I still grew up-I drag those slogans in life, I really like them.

-Could you explain-how does rock and roll love differ from poplance?
-Rock-n-roll-live! With all minuses and pluses, with some kind of failures, divorces, but alive. And poppy love is mechanical. She is perfect. There the strings are not torn. There is a phonogram. Their love is so powdered. Everything is cold, robotic. This is not love, this is a substitution. This is how you made the "Immortal Regiment" . It was a living movement. When I found out, I was stunned. And now all this turns into poster love. Where there is no life. There remains a formality, but inside human saturation there is no real past. Tragic past. The tragedy is removed, but only pathos remains. So here.
-You at the concert said that it was time to finish singing social songs, but they are still relevant ...
- What is it talking about? That we go in a circle. About this. Songs of 30 years ago are still relevant. It really is very difficult that nothing has changed, by and large.
- Your music has changed ...
- Music, yes, has changed. It acquires more modern forms. Music - she is like water. Do not catch her. Pour it into this glass, it will be alone, in a bottle it will be different. Ples on the floor - there will be the third form.

- During the concert, you said: "Propaganda of war - sucks." And the whole concert you returned to the songs about the war. Do you feel that something is in the air?
- I am very concerned about the militarization of the population, the propaganda of the war. People distract from internal problems the invented enemies that surround us. And it terribly infuriates me. Therefore, I am talking about the world at every concert that to protect the homeland is an unconditionally honored duty of a man and not only. But the propaganda of war, when many politicians set up the population to fight with the whole world, just to maintain their power, this is disgusting.
- It seems to you that this is only a Russian topic or world?
- World, of course. But in Russia it is too pedal. To the victorious end. To the general paradise! Why on the channels of Russian television it is not said about numerous shortcomings that need to be corrected, and all about enemies and enemies? I have not watched TV lately. The mood spoils scary. You think, why don't we talk about ourselves? We have something to do and build. Need demilitarization. Will the creative rise in the country save, but does corrupt officials need it?
“Have you heard what Tina Kandelaki wrote about the last message of our president?”
- No, I did not listen to the message, there was no way, but I will certainly listen to him. To understand what is happening in their heads, although ... it is unlikely (laughs). Some kind of darkness in front. I would like to know where we are moving. We have no strategies except small tactical moves. We do not live, but we all survive ...
-So, Tina Kandelaki said that it was "compared to last year's message directly to change the course. From militarization to National Socialism." How do you like such a change in the course? Is National Socialism possible in Russia?
- Well, no. We will not have national socialism. I know our country well, I wander a lot on it. We have many nationalities. Take Tataria, Bashkiria, etc. No, such that one nation dominates - this cannot be. Thank God, although this does not threaten us. And the aunt, of course, is well done. ( Laughs.)

- At the concert, you often transfer the initiative to other members of the group. This is very refreshing. Tell us, how did you find Alena Romanov, for example?
- On Facebook. Now everything is on Facebook. And Alena was found there. There was a group of such a "Zventa Sventana", Alena sang there with Tina Kuznetsova. They had a duet, Tina participated in the Voice program. I really liked them. I generally love female vocals. People’s, jazz, but not pop. From the stage he has been breaking me since childhood. Alena agreed to work with us, and Tina is engaged in her solo career. Although Alena is now lining up. Our Kostya Shumailov makes her interesting arrangements in the art -rock style. She sings her repertoire with our guys. Now he is going to Germany for the festival.
- You have many new young guys in your team. How did you select them?
- The guys were going to the program "otherwise." It was 2011. The program was musical-radical, we decided to play other music with Kostya Shumaylov and Lesha Fedichev. The Great Dutsa left, who loved the rhythm end-blouse and hard rock. He was cool musician, but we wanted new forms. It's like in the theater. A man with the “King Lear” copes, and there is no longer enough testosterone ( laughs ) on Romeo. We have everything by friendship, someone leaves, someone comes. Here the youth came: Theme, Roma, Anton.
- Your son Peter is now working in your team.
-In general, I have a programmer, but he wanted some kind of lively work, and he travels with the Barnauls-equipment, a loader works, a scene editor. Smokes, in short. Now it will be disassembled. Then - to the next city and will collect it there.
I rarely see Peter. I have a good guy. Not angry. He is thirty. He served the army. In the Marine Corps. Two years. I ask him after the army: well, son, to the institute? He says to me: dad, can I rest a little? I am a reluctant heart. I myself am a working house. And he had fun. And what, he says, I gave my duty to my homeland, and you can’t argue with it. It is very important when you teach someone something, advise something, while you yourself match your words.
- Your concert is called "Sound History", and it traces the history of the country ...
-Yes, you noticed that at first there were such boogies-wools, ditties of the beginning of the eighties. They even made a special light in the style of those times. Then a hard, alternative sound, industrial, jazz ... Different music. And the songs in the concert are going on for years. “Leningrad” is 1988, about Chechnya, the song of 1995-“Boys died”, 1992-93 “New Blocades”-this is the Yeltsin revolution, the defeat of the White House. The song "Freedom" was born in 2011 during the time of Bolotnaya. A lot of historical references. Previously, we sang "truth to the truth." But this is a very difficult thing, four modulations, and I do not always perform it. In Moscow, we shot this program two years ago in the Olympic, and now we are completing it and will soon post it in Yetub.
-You once said that with all the hardships of the present time, one cannot give in to despondency. What is your recipe?
- People save me. Only people. You can’t sit at home. Sometimes, it seems that everything, there is enough concerts, it's time to sit down for some epoch-making novel, such as “War and Peace” ( laughs ). At worst, scurry another book of poems. Take something tall. Raise a couple of intellectual dumbbells ... But you begin to fool in these walls, some unhealthy forebodings, fears begin to crawl on you. Reflection typical of the intelligentsia is running around. Turn on the TV - sickening. The Internet is even worse. But when you drive around the country, dive into live communication, then the mood is better. I deduced a recipe for myself - necessarily books, loneliness of reflection at the desk, but you need to combine everything with the dynamics of life. Now I will go out into the street and I will talk with the boys, look my eyes in my eyes, and this is very important. Dialogue is important to me. I see beautiful people, and this gives me optimism. Especially young people. Their eyes are burning, and you think not so badly.

- It was a recipe from despondency, and please share, where are you drawing energy? Almost a three -hour concert, you danced, played on drums and did a lot more.
- ( Laughs. ) I even tried to sing ... Thank you to my mother, Fania Akramovna. Born Ilya Muromets or Koshchei immortal. ( Laughs.) I run on skiing in winter, I do not disdain charging, I like to run. In short, I’m not going to lie on the couch, although I love it very much.
- In one of your songs there are such words: "We will not be too tactful on our short track." In what situations do you not think about the tact?
-Yes, this is a song of that time, black and white. In the 90s, I chopped from my shoulder. Now I began to see half -tones in life and in people. And he began to forgive more. I am raising myself. To be rude, breaking into someone else's life with their own principles, views, to teach everyone-this is not good. Of course, I had a stupid period characteristic of youth. As for youth now, it is suck, and it is cool. And I can’t say, let's say that all the cops are bad. This is not true. Because there are good ones. There are real servants who love people. I had a case in Khabarovsk, I signed my discs, and a man comes up to me and says: "I am opera, but you said at the concert that all the cops are the goats. And I honestly work, and you offended me." And I felt uneasy. And the bosses are different, and rock musicians are not all eagles, all are different. And democrats, like people, such, damn, are bastards. Everything is different. And this must be seen.
- And what can you get out of your temper today?
- Cynism. Cynical attitude towards people. Rudeness. After me, at least a flood. I am very breaking my attitude to nature, culture. Here is Tomsk - what city, what kind of woods you have. This must be appreciated! We must protect! On the one hand, we are Taldych about patriotism, and on the other, a barbaric attitude towards antiquity. For me, patriotism in these old buildings. They are the letters of the ancestors! And few people do it, everywhere it collapses. And in St. Petersburg, too ... So it turns out that we have poster patriotism adjacent to the disdemnation attitude to what our predecessors created. This is terribly annoying me.
