The excavator rammed a checkpoint of eco -activists protesting against the construction of a garbage training ground near the Shies railway station in the Arkhangelsk region. This was reported by the local publication 29.ru.

As a result of the incident, one person suffered.

According to protesters, on the night of March 15, a column of trucks, led by an excavator, tried to break through to the place of work, the road to which was blocked by activists.

“The workers opened the gate, moved the trailer with an excavator in which the shift man was located. Directly with a person, they moved. And there was another activist nearby, he was crushed by the bucket of this excavator, ”activist Svetlana Babenko told the publication.

According to one of the organizers of the anti -municipal rallies of Dmitry Sekushin, a resident of Arkhangelsk Vladimir Kogut suffered as a result of the incident. It is hospitalized, doctors do not exclude damage to the internal organs. Activists wrote a statement to the police.

Residents of the Arkhangelsk region are actively protesting against the import of garbage from Moscow to a training ground near the ShiES railway station located on the border of the region and Komi. Opponents of the garbage training ground have been blocking gasoline to a construction site for three weeks.
