The law banning those on the Rosfinmonitoring list from working at nuclear installations was signed by the President

The law prohibits working at nuclear facilities those who have an outstanding conviction for intentional crimes, and all defendants list of extremists and terrorists.

On March 18, 2019, President Vladimir Putin signed the law "On Amendments to the Federal Law "On the Use of Nuclear energy" (in terms of supplementing the requirements for the admission of persons working on nuclear facility, at a radiation source, at a storage facility, with nuclear materials and radioactive substances)". It was submitted to the State Duma government in October 2018 and finally adopted on March 7, Council federation approved its March 13th.

According to the amendments made to legislation, to work at a nuclear installation, at a radiation source, in storage facility, with nuclear materials and radioactive substances will not be persons with an outstanding or unexpunged conviction for committing intentional crime, as well as those included in the list of extremists and terrorists of Rosfinmonitoring. Checking employees for compliance with these FSB officers will conduct the requirements.

The law also clarifies that access to such works is granted only if you have access to state secrets. Besides, candidates for similar jobs and current employees will now undergo periodic medical check-ups, including drug testing.

It should be noted that the list of Rosfinmonitoring includes convicts, as well as those accused and suspected of involvement in extremist and terrorist activities.
