Baptists' holiday service disrupted in Novorossiysk

In Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Territory, representatives of security forces structures and administrations disrupted a festive Baptist service in a private home.

On April 7, 2019, a festive divine service was disrupted in Novorossiysk in honor of the Annunciation, which took place in a private house in the village of Verkhnebakansky - district of Novorossiysk, where a registered group of believers gathers Evangelical Christian Baptists.

Soldiers of the National Guard, policemen, firefighters, Cossacks, representatives The FSB and the city administration broke into the house and demanded to stop serving.

According to eyewitnesses, the arrivals threatened women, forbade filming, the district police officer and the FSB representative went to the pulpit, because which had to be interrupted.

There were about 70 believers in the hall, including children, women and the elderly.

The believers said that such behavior of the authorities offended them religious feelings. One of the believers turned to V. Putin with a request to “stop this lawlessness that is happening in the hero city of Novorossiysk, where freedom conscience is unceremoniously trampled on by representatives of the authorities .
