Ivanovo resident fined for prohibited video on social network

The court fined a resident of Ivanov for the video for the song of the group "Vietnam Recitatiff".

On April 1, 2019, the Oktyabrsky District Court fined Ivanov 1,000 rubles under Art. 20.29 Administrative Code (mass distribution of extremist materials) of a local resident Sergei Sitkov.

In 2012, Sitkov posted on his page on the social network "VKontakte" a video "In the style of the group Krovostok - Ziga (RAP)". In 2017, it was included in the Federal List of Extremist Materials.

We are talking about the video for the song "Su zhitul" group "Vietnam Recitatiff". Although it contains Nazi symbols, obscene language and pejorative ethnonyms, it is not aimed at propaganda of Nazism and does not contain any aggressive appeals. In addition, judging by Sitkov's page, he is not a supporter of right-wing radical ideology. Therefore, we believe that he was wrongfully brought to justice.
