Moscow: the court canceled the fine for Dmitry Karasev

The Moscow City Court canceled the fine to Dmitry Karasev, who had previously been found guilty of violating the procedure for holding a public event.
On April 2, 2019, the Moscow City Court canceled the fine for Dmitry Karasyov, one of the leaders of the Popular Resistance Association (ANS). Earlier, the Presnensky District Court of Moscow found him guilty under Part 5 of Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the procedure for holding a public event).

The administrative case was initiated in connection with the events of May 1, 2018. The court considered that Karasev took part in an unauthorized march of ANC activists along Gogolevsky Boulevard. However, the defense of the young man insisted that during the procession he was at an open conference of nationalists, which was held on the "Artkryshe" near the Dmitrovskaya metro station. Several conference participants, including Karasyov himself, were then detained by the police.   Sources
