The fall of the Arashukov house

The arrests among Arashukov’s encirclement can affect the entire huge clan of the former senator, according to political scientist Dmitry Oreshkin

NT: In the case of the Senator from the Karachay-Cherkess Republic of Rauf Arashukov and his father Raul Arashukov, several more accused appeared. The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation announced the initiation of a criminal case against the former first deputy head of the Investigative Committee of the IC for the KAZbek Bulatov, senior investigator for particularly important cases of the second department for the investigation of particularly important cases of the Investigative Committee of the CCA for the KCR, Andrei Filippov and the head of the Center for Combating Extremism of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the KCR Timur Betuganov. All of them are accused of abuse of authority (paragraph "in" part 3 of article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). Thus, the total number of suspects in the case reached eight people: earlier, in addition to the father and son of Arashukov, the cousin of Senator Ruslan, as well as two major managers from Gazprom Mezhregiongaz Stavropol, Nikolai Romanov and Guser Khashukaev, were arrested.

Recall that Senator Rauf Arashukov was detained on January 30 right in the Council of the Federation. He was immediately charged with participating in the criminal community (part 3 of article 210 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), pressure on a witness (part 4 of article 309) and murder (part 2 of article 105). Arashukov does not plead guilty and claims that the case against him is politically motivated.

Dmitry Oreshkin: Russian power vertical is based on the regime of corruption of loyalty. People who are close to verticals create advantages in competition, they become not just citizens, but by citizens with privileges. Their competitors are eliminated, life is simplified. But they are well aware that informal, and even undeveloped, the right to “be in a clip” should be paid, and this payment is unconditional devotion and maintenance of the interests of “verticals”. Without this system, a vertical cannot exist, Putin cannot control it. And if someone does or says something that the verticals do not like it, then he simply blocked access to blessings from above, and the market element instantly eats such a person.

Such “defeats” end only when the system rests against a person who is impossible to remove, because the current head of the vertical needs it. For example, in Kadyrov. Kadyrov cannot be removed, because he controls Chechnya, and you cannot find another suitable controller. Of course, he, too, cannot steal endlessly, but he has more “shortcut” than others.

And therefore, when they plant Arashukov, there is no reason to think that this is a “triumph of law” or some kind of change in the system. This is a triumph of account information. Some of the people close to the “first face” reported what they steal. “First Person” and so knows that they steal, but then he realized that they steal too much. After that, the denouement comes - the president agrees that it is necessary to plant, and these people are planted. And with them all their connections are planted.

In Karachay-Cherkessia, its own “vertical” was built, which now falls under the entire blow. Her bosses, people close to the President, the senator and the owners of the Khabez district, used to be out of law, local prosecutors and police officers entered their own team. But the Arashukovs endured an invisible line, paid for this, and now they are removed and everyone who was connected with them. Not because there are any complaints about them, but because they no longer have any protection. The same thing happened in Dagestan, when the mayor of Makhachkala Amirov was put and immediately removed all the people who were close to him. An exception to this, if you call a spade a spade, the mafia deprives a person of status, and he immediately turns out to be vulnerable.

This is the difference between what is called “vertical” or “luggage”, and a legal state, when not a specific person reigns through his close associates, but the law. Anyone can be guilty in the legal state. And in “Breecution”, as soon as a person is outside the vertical, he can be planted. Therefore, Putin, Kadyrov and the rest cannot be left. As soon as such people cease to rise above the law, anything can happen to them.
