Charitable center volunteer fined in Kaliningrad for people who find themselves in a difficult life situation. Conducting spiritual conversations with by these people was regarded as illegal missionary work.

On April 22, 2019, it became known that in Kaliningrad for "illegal" missionary work a volunteer of the Interregional Public Assistance Center was fined drug addicts, alcoholics and people in a difficult life situation "Initiative".

An inspection carried out by the prosecutor's office of the Moskovsky district of Kaliningrad found a daily routine in the center that provides for regular meetings for prayer, spiritual conversations and reading of religious literature. indoors Center inspectors found religious paraphernalia.

All this was regarded as missionary activity in residential area.

Volunteer A. Luksic, who conducted religious meetings, was fined 50 thousand rubles under Part 4 of Art. 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (implementation missionary activity in violation of the requirements of the legislation on freedom of conscience, freedom of religion and religious associations).
