Mark Zuckerberg at the annual conference F8 introduced the largest Facebook redesign over many years. The social network will switch to a new design in a few weeks. All the main changes are subordinated to a single goal - to encourage users communication in “private spaces” like groups and chats of closest friends and an increase in confidentiality.

The main changes in design:

• The most noticeable is the new color scheme with a predominance of white and a new logo. But this is not the main thing.

The Facebook Messenger will finally appear terminal (end-to-end) encryption, which already exists, for example, in Telegram or WhatsApp. It almost guarantees a hacking correspondence.

This year, Tsuckerberg has already publicly spoke about the importance of confidentiality. In March, he published on a social network a software article in which he admitted that most of his audience is needed rather not a market area (classic social network), but a room for a private conversation (secure messenger). Such a messenger should become the main direction of development of the largest social network of the world for the coming years. To protect user data, Facebook is ready to generally refuse to store the data forever and sacrifice the presence in countries that require their storage on their territory, then Tsuckerberg wrote.

Yesterday, Tsuckerberg admitted that after the scandals through which Facebook passed, many can treat the company's statements with skepticism. “I understand that many people think that we are not serious about this,” said Zuckerberg. “And I know that, to put it mildly, we are not the most powerful reputation as for privacy.”
