A law has been adopted allowing religious educational institutions to provide additional vocational education

Signed a law allowing educational institutions provide additional vocational education.

On May 1, 2019, V. Putin signed the agreement adopted on April 16 State Duma and approved on April 22 by the Federation Council the law "On amendments to Article 19 of the Federal Law "On Freedom of Conscience and religious associations" and Article 87 of the Federal Law "On education in the Russian Federation".

The law allows spiritual training establishments with the consent of a centralized religious organization, or authorized by a centralized religious organization to direct or coordinating body to implement educational programs of secondary vocational education and higher education, additional professional programs and professional training in accordance with the requirements of federal state educational standards.

The law provides that spiritual educational institutions implementing educational programs in accordance with the requirements federal state educational standards (FSES) and additional vocational programs and vocational training programs will be able to to issue to those who passed the final certification documents on education and qualifications in accordance with the requirements of the law "On Education".
