Fake “Time” program: Sweden achieves Assange's extradition to give it to the United States

The Time program on Channel One completes its plot that in Sweden they resumed a case closed two years ago on charges of Julian Assange of rape, such a passage:

For them, the founder of WikiLeaks is a bone in their throat, which Washington is trying in vain all these years. It is extremely difficult to extradite it directly from the UK, London will require too much, in particular, the iron promises that the Assange will not be imprisoned for life or will not be brought under an article for which death is.

It is much easier to agree with the Swedes. And then the Assange, who told the truth about the executions of civilians in Afghanistan, Iraq, the surveillance of the CIA for the whole world, political fraud and torture in American prisons, now he himself can become an object of bullying. There is no guarantees that Stockholm, having got Assange, will not pass it on to Washington. ”

Ecuador President Lenin Morino, agreeing to the arrest of Assange by the British police, said that Britain guaranteed him that Assange would not be given to the country where he would threaten the death penalty; Thus, its extradition in the United States will be possible only if similar guarantees are obtained from the American side. In case of extradition, Sweden will require exactly the same guarantees from the United States: according to Article 8 of the Treaty of Extradition between Sweden and the United States, extradition may be refused if the crime on the charges of an extradition request has been provided for the death penalty and the requesting state did not provide sufficient guarantees that in this case this punishment would not be applied.

But even more important is that the US-Swedish contract contains an exhaustive list of accusations for which extradition is possible. The accusation of the collusion made by Assange in order to steal and publish secret documents is not included in this list.

The “Time” program does not explain to what kind of mortal execution the article in the United States can “bring” Assange, but he himself is afraid of accusations of complicity of treason. This crime in the list of grounds for extradition from Sweden to the United States also does not.

If in Sweden Assange is condemned for rape, it is quite possible that after the deadline, he will not be allowed to stay in the country and extradite - most likely to his homeland to Australia, since the Ecuador's citizenship of the founder of Wikileaks is canceled. Australian legislation does not prohibit the issuance of citizens of the country to other states, but the agreement with the United States says that if the law provides for the death penalty, an extraditory state may “recommend” not applying this measure of punishment. In practice, this means guarantees of the non -disclosure of the death penalty. The list of grounds for extradition from Australia in the United States also has no theft of secret documents or state treason.
