The State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on the transfer of cultural monuments to authorities

The State Duma adopted a bill in the first reading, which allows federal authorities to receive a building for free use, which are included in the list of cultural heritage sites. This was reported in the card of the bill.

“The first - we solve the problem of placement, primarily in the regions, outside Moscow, territorial departments of federal authorities. The second - we stop spending the money of federal authorities, that is, the Russian budget, to pay for the rent. Agree, let this money take it to restore monuments (cultural heritage) than just on rental payments. Thirdly, at the regional monuments, who are dying today, that it is a sin to hide there, a responsible user will appear, who will begin to engage in these monuments, ”says Alla Manilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia.

The premises in the buildings that are part of the Unified Register of Cultural Heritage of Russia are already occupied by the military commissariats of the Ministry of Defense, the territorial administration of the Judicial Department under the Supreme Court and some other federal authorities.
