Former British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson confidently won the second round of the election of the leader of the Conservative Party, BBC reports . Together with him, the ministers of the government of Teresa May Jeremy Hunt, Michael Gow, Rori Stuart and Sajid Javid overcame the passing barrier. The new leader of the conservatives will be headed by the Government of Great Britain.

During the second round, the deputies of the House of Commons, who vote at this stage of elections, eliminated only one candidate-the former Brexit minister Dominic Raaba. He could not gain the necessary 33 votes.

Johnson received 126 votes, which practically guarantees access to the final: only the parliamentary fraction of Tori votes before the final tour, and it has 313 people.

Johnson’s separation from the closest pursuer, his successor as Minister of Foreign Affairs Hunt, is 80 votes.
