
The rating of the best universities in the world according to the British company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) included 25 Russian universities. This is stated in the annual rating of QS World University Rankings 2020.
Compared to last year, 15 out of 25 universities were able to improve their performance, and 5 fell in the ranking. Moscow State University (Moscow State University) named after Lomonosov took 84th place, rising to six positions. In second place was the Novosibirsk State University (NSU), which improved its result by 13 positions and occupied the 231st line in the list. It is followed by St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg State University), which has risen from the 235th to the 234th position.
The most progress from the TOP-10 of Russian universities was shown by the Ural Federal University, which rose 48 lines and took 364th place.
The best universities of the planets are still the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the University of Stanford and Harvard University.
