

Mikhail Petrov from August 2 will become the editor -in -chief of TASS. Previously, he held the post of deputy chief credit.
“He knows the features of the agency perfectly, understands all the editorial processes perfectly,” the general director of the news agency Sergei Mikhailov commented on this decision.
Petrov has been working in TASS for 20 years. He was a correspondent of the Kremlin pool, and in recent years he led the editorial office of the Kremlin-government information.
Maxim Filimonov confirmed his departure from the post of editor -in -chief TASS. “I am considering different options for continuing professional activities outside the media,” he said.
