In Novorossiysk, the court upheld the decision in the case of a Baptist elder

The Novorossiysk Court of Appeal upheld the fine handed down by the Magistrate's Court against Presbyter Yury Kornienko.

On July 23, it became known that the Novorossiysk Court of Appeal upheld the decision in the case of the Baptist presbyter.

The court recognized legal penalty under Art. 5.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (violation of the legislation on freedom of conscience, freedom religion and religious associations), issued by the Magistrate's Court in respect of Presbyter Yuri Kornienko.

Recall that the case was initiated on April 18, 2019, 11 days after about how representatives of law enforcement agencies disrupted the worship of evangelical Christian Baptists in a private house in the village of Verkhnebakansky.
