Rosneft has become the largest gas station operator in the north-west of Russia

Rosneft bought 100% of the largest in St. Petersburg an independent fuel operator-the “St. Petersburg Fuel Company”, Interfax reports with reference to a press release of the state-owned company.

The transaction will allow Rosneft to become a leader in the oil products market of St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region and the largest player in the northwestern region, the company believes.

Also, with reference to the Spark-Interfax system, it was reported that the subsidiary of Rosneft-RN-Regional Sales-July 30 became 100% by the owner of the Gatchina Oil Company (GNK) registered in the Leningrad Region, follows from the data of Spark-Interfax. GNK trades with motor fuel. Earlier, the co-owners of the GNK were Andrey and Olga Golubev, who, according to Spark-Interfax, are currently also co-owners of the St. Petersburg Fuel Company (PTK).

The PTK retail network operates in St. Petersburg, Leningrad, Murmansk, Novgorod, Pskov, Tver regions, as well as Karelia. It includes 141 gas stations, 125 gas trucks and two oil depots: “streams” in St. Petersburg and “Miracle” in the Novgorod region.

According to the Oil Club of St. Petersburg, the share of the gas station PTC in the city market is about 17% (in terms of refueling). At the same time, Lukoil has 24%, Rosneft, taking into account TNCs and BP - 10%.
