Authorities Moscow refused to the Old Believer community to hold a prayer service near the building of the former Church on Marksistskaya: officials referred to the lack of a suitable site for this at the building.
24 August 2019, it became known that on August 14 the Moscow government responded refusal to the request of the Old Believer community to hold a prayer service at the former building of the Assumption church on Marksistskaya street.
12 August Tver Old Believer community of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker sent to the Department of Regional Security and Anti-Corruption of the city Moscow notification of holding a prayer service on August 25 next to the temple with the participation of a hundred people. The officials refused, citing the fact that the local area was not can accommodate the declared number of prayer participants, which means that traffic obstruction.
Building Assumption Church is now used as a hostel.
