Homophobic murder in the Rostov region

A homosexual was killed in the Rostov region.

On the night of August 28-29, 2019, in the Rostov region, in the apartment of acquaintances, a local resident began to beat a friend of the owners for his non-traditional sexual orientation and stabbed him to death. After the victim died, the attacker took wire from the extension cord, made a loop, threw it around his neck and put a knife in his hand, trying to simulate suicide.

The owners called an ambulance and the police. The attacker was arrested.

During the trial trial defendant his guilt in committing a crime admitted in full.

On November 21, 2019, the Kamensky District Court of the Rostov Region delivered a sentence under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code (murder). The defendant was sentenced to eight years in prison to be served in a penal colony with a strict regime.
