The Sovetsky District Court of Makhachkala extended the arrest of journalist of the Chernovik publication Abdulmumin Gadzhiev, former co-founder of the Ansar Foundation Abubakar Rizvanov and Moscow businessman Kemal Tambiev for another two months. This was reported by a Chernovik correspondent. The meetings took place from September 9 to 11.
Lawyers for the accused draw attention to the lack of valid grounds for keeping Gadzhiev, Rizvanov and Tambiev in custody. According to the defense, petitions to extend the arrest of each accused were written as carbon copies, but the judge accepted them.
In addition, Gadzhiev’s lawyer Asad Dzhabirov noted that the investigator refers to the testimony of witnesses. But in the materials presented to the court there is not a single protocol of interrogation of witnesses, except for a copy of the protocol of interrogation of Kemal Tambiev, who stated that he was forced to slander the Chernovik journalist under torture.
