Russians began to sort and dispose of household waste more often. This was written by Rossiyskaya Gazeta with reference to the results of a study by the analytical center of Nafi. According to them, over four years from 13% to 35%, the share of Russians who competently dispose of household waste increased.
The study says that since 2015 the number of Russians who surrender waste paper has grown - from 2% to 10%. Separate collection of garbage at home introduced 14% of respondents (earlier this indicator was 4%). Today, every tenth interviewed gives plastic containers for processing, 4% pass a glass container, 5% dispose of household appliances.
“For me, the growth of supporters of separate gathering from 13% to 35% is a big breakthrough. After all, the best way to involve others is a personal example. You start sorting, your friends, neighbors, colleagues look and also start. And this affects the successful development of garbage processing enterprises. Yes, there are more than 2500 of them in Russia, and all of them are lacking recycled. This affects the emergence of an increasing number of products from recyclables - street furniture, as in Yekaterinburg from the Uraltermoplast plant, tetrapak pens, as at the Vikivostok factory near Moscow. Each of us, sorting, prescribes a new cultural code. For me and my family, this is already the norm-we will sort waste for 8 years and hand over as a rushing house in St. Petersburg, ”said Roman Sablin, ecotrainman www.greenDriver.ru, ecological and ecotrequer school, ecotrer www.greendr.ru .
Most often, environmentally friendly behavior is demonstrated by people with high income, leaders of any level, residents of the capital and millionaire cities, Russians aged 45 to 59 years, the publication notes.
