Rospotrebnadzor opens against the return of smoking rooms to airports, since ventilation and filters will not be able to reduce the concentration of harmful substances in the air to the permissible level. According to RIA Novosti, this was reported in the press service of the department.
“Neither ventilation, nor filters, even combined, can reduce the effects of tobacco smoke to levels that are considered acceptable. Only zones, 100% free from tobacco smoke, can provide reliable protection. Contrary to the generally accepted opinion, the creation of zones free of smoking is widely supported by both smoking and non -smokers, ”the report said.
In July, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a bill on the restoration of Kurilok in airport buildings. The Ministry of Health to the second reading of the bill developed amendments that determine the number and principle of the placement of Kurilok. So, in the “clean zone” of the airport, it is proposed to resolve no more than two rooms for smoking.
The bill was introduced in November 2017 by a deputy from United Russia Sergey Boyarsky.
