On November 12, 2019 it became known that the head of the World Council of Old Believers turned to Patriarch Kirill (Gundyaev) with a request to help return to the Old Believers the site on which at the beginning of the 20th century the house of the merchant Maltsev stood with prayer room.

The house church was eventually rebuilt into the St. Sergius Church, which was demolished in 1968.
