In early November 2019, it became known that in Sverdlovsk the regional court sent the case of the Baptist pastor Beringer, who is in court challenges the decision to issue a fine for holding prayer meetings in private house in Tavda and his possible expulsion from Russia. The defendant in the case is the Office of Migration Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region. Applicant - Pastor Helmut German Beringer.

According to journalists, “according to the employees of the Tavda prosecutor’s office, police, FSB and district court judge Elena Rudakovskaya, Pastor Beringer dangerous for Russia," because "advocates a violent change in the foundations of the constitutional order of the Russian Federation”, “calls on citizens to refuse to fulfill statutory obligations and to counter the Russian Orthodox Church".

The reason for the possible expulsion to the pastor is not fully known - but he assumes that it is his distribution of the pamphlets “Russia. Football: history, facts and testimonies" on football world championship. The brochures were printed by the Russian Union of Evangelical Christian Baptists and sent to the pastor in the amount of 2 thousand copies, 1800 of which he distributed.
