London refused to transmit Mauritius Archipelago Chagos

Great Britain did not transmit Mauritius Archipelago Chagos, located in the Indian Ocean, despite the UN requirement. It is reported by Sky News.
Earlier, the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution according to which the UK was to “withdraw its colonial administration” from the islands.
The British Foreign Ministry said they were not going to give the archipelago.
Prime Minister Mauritius of the Rules Jagnot said that now the UK is an "illegal colonial occupier."
The Chagos archipelago is located in the Indian Ocean, south of the Maldives. For several decades, its belonging was disputed. In 1965, London decided to separate Chagos from Mauritius and create a military base there together with the United States. At the same time, the British authorities evicted the indigenous local population.
