At the last session in the Nightingale, three girls were detained. One of them chained itself to the chair

In the movie center "Nightingale" on Krasnaya Presnya in Moscow, the last session was held before closing. On the evening of December 1, the cinema showed Charlie Chaplin’s film “The Great Dictator”, which was demonstrated at the opening of the movie center on March 1, 1989.

On the night of December 2, OVD-Info reported that after a session in the building three residents of Moscow-Antonina Sergeeva, Elena Pavlova and Alina Batrakova were detained. Batrakova chained herself handcuffs to the chair in the cinema in protest against the upcoming demolition of the film center building. However, she demanded that she be connected with the mayor of Moscow and the leadership of the cinema. The rest of the girls stayed with her, as they feared for her safety.

The detainees were delivered to the police department in the Presnensky district. They had a conversation with the girl, as a result, in the morning everyone was released without protocols.

The Nightingale film center was built in 1989, it contains 24 halls. In November 2018, Marat Khusnullin, deputy mayor of Moscow for urban planning and construction, said that a set of apartments with a medical center can be built on the site of the Nightingale film center. In the complex, which Kinocenter JSC will build on the site of the Nightingale film center, they also want to open cinema halls.
