
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Germany began an investigation against GRU employees, known as pseudonymers, Alexander Petrov and Ruslan Boshirov, who are actually called Alexander Mishkin and Anatoly Chepiga. About this with reference to sources writes Spiegel.
According to the German authorities, Petrov and Boshirov spent three days in the vicinity of Frankfurt in 2014. The German intelligence services believe that Russian intelligence has connections in Germany, sources said.
The investigation began after the German Foreign Ministry sent out two Russian diplomats from the country due to the murder of a former Chechen field commander in Berlin.
