The state will spend 18 billion rubles on import substitution for Superjet
The Ministry of Industry and Trade will additionally allocate almost 15 billion rubles to create a new version of the Superjet 100 aircraft with the maximum number of Russian components, RBC found out . The total expenses for research and design work will amount to 18.5 billion rubles, but the amount may increase. On the SSJ-100 project-the first “from scratch” in Russia a passenger liner-the state spent more than $ 2 billion.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade thought about the creation of a Russified Superjet New Four years ago, immediately after the introduction of Western sanctions against Russia. The main feature of the project is that the share of Russian components on the plane will be 50-60%. At the same time, processes related to the reliability of systems, increasing comfort, security and maintenance of flight fitness will also be improved. The tender for work has not yet been announced.
Work on Superjet New is divided into three stages. The first has already been fulfilled - the developer and manufacturer of aircraft, the company "Sukhoi Civil Aircraft" (GSS), provided the Ministry of Industry with an explanatory note, technical documentation, preliminary calculations and models. The cost of this stage amounted to 3.5 billion rubles.
Now the Ministry of Industry and Trade is ready to allocate another 14.8 billion rubles to finalize the project (implementation of "Research and Experimental Design"). There will be a third stage: in 2021 it is planned to conclude a contract for the release of workers of design documents, but the ministry refused to name its value. It is expected that the work will be completed by 2024.
The authorities expect that, in addition to Russian public structures, the new version of Superjet can be attractive to foreign buyers who are also under US sanctions, for example, Iran, who has already announced the intention to acquire at least 40 airliners.
- This year, the UAC will put only 15 SSJ-100, 10 of them-Aeroflot. This is the minimum indicator in seven years, which does not ensure the loading of the assembly production and the breakthrough of the GSS.
- Sukhoi Superjet 100 turned out to be an unprofitable aircraft not only for airlines, but also for passengers due to indistinguishable logistics of spare parts and technical problems, the main of which is with the engine resource.
- The state spent more than $ 2 billion on the SSJ-100 project-the first “from scratch” in Russia, counting on export orders. But the plane on the market scale remains small: less than 200 units have been collected in 10 years.
