There will be no church on Leninskaya Gorka in Omsk

In Omsk, the Commission on Rules for Land Use and Development of the city administration refused to grant the Spiritual Heritage Foundation their proposal to build an Orthodox church on Leninskaya Gorka.

December 26, 2019 in Omsk Commission on Land Use Rules and development of the city administration refused the Spiritual Heritage Foundation to satisfy their proposal to change the appearance permitted use of the site on which Leninsky Square is located. Change of category from “R” (recreational zone) to “OD” (zone for public and business development) would allow the fund to realize its intention to build Orthodox church in the square.

Recall that Omsk residents have repeatedly opposed the construction temple in this park. In March 2019, VOOPIC published the results of an online vote on the construction Temple on Leninskaya Gorka in Omsk. 57% opposed the construction of the temple voters.
