WADA temporarily suspended the license of the Moscow Anti -Doping Laboratory

The World Anti -Doping Agency temporarily suspended the license of the Moscow Anti -Doping Laboratory. This was reported by the press service of WADA.

In December last year, the WADA Executive Committee deprived the Russian Anti -Doping Agency of Correspondence Status. Thus, Russia has lost the right to participate in major international tournaments for four years, including the Olympiads.

In addition, the civil servants of the Russian Federation and the leadership of the OKR and the PCR are prohibited from attending international sports events.

At the same time, Russian athletes who are not seen in doping disorders will be able to perform at competitions under a neutral flag.

Earlier it became known that Russia could be removed from the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo due to suspicions that the Moscow Anti-Doping Laboratory forged data for transferring to the World Anti-Doping Agency. WADA claimed that the information has been faked for the past year and a half.

In 2015, WADA published a report on the widespread use of doping in Russian sports. Because of this, the Russian team was not allowed to the Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Athletes approved by the International Olympic Committee performed under a neutral flag.

On November 25, the WADA compliance Committee recommended that Russia be removed from participation in international competitions for four years.
