The project of the new Code of Administrative Offenses, published by the Ministry of Justice, strengthens repressive mechanisms and does not correlate with the goals identified in the Presidential Message to the Federal Assembly. According to TASS, this was stated by the head of the relevant State Duma Committee on State Building and Legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov.
“It is worth noting that the project enhances repressive mechanisms compared to the current Code, which does not comply with the goals and objectives of the country's current economic policy, contradicts the guidelines indicated by the president in the Epistle of the Federal Assembly,” Krasheninnikov said.
“In general, the submitted project resembles the Code of Administrative Offenses rejected by the State Duma at the beginning of the current convocation,” Krasheninnikov said.
On the eve of the Ministry of Justice published a draft new Code, in which, in particular, it is proposed to increase fines several times for violation of the Rules of the road, as well as increase the terms of bringing to administrative responsibility.
