In St. Petersburg, a vandal tried to set fire to Petropavlovsky temple in the village Veseliy. The temple was not damaged, the suspect was detained.
On the night of February 1, 2020, an unknown person tried set fire to the Peter and Paul Church in the village of Vesely, Krasnogvardeisky district of St. Petersburg.
Surveillance cameras recorded how the man threw through the fence of the temple with a Molotov cocktail and disappeared when he saw the flaring flame. The fire did not damage the temple, only smoked the wall.
The suspect was arrested the same day. He was chosen a measure of restraint in the form of an obligation to appear.
