On February 15, 2020, a single picket was held in Omsk against construction of a cathedral on Leninskaya Gorka (former Ilinskaya). The picket was arranged by the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Konstantin Tkachev, arranging it to coincide with the time of the procession from the Assumption Cathedral to the site of the proposed construction of the cathedral.

“ It will never happen that instead of Lenin there is a new cathedral. We we will not allow it and we will not allow it. And we are supported in this by 70% of Omsk residents ,” said picket.
