Alexander Ch. was found guilty of public calls for extremism.
On February 18, 2020, it became known that in Voronezh, the Levoberezhny District Court found 46-year-old taxi driver Alexander Ch. guilty under Part 2 of Art. 280 of the Criminal Code (public calls for extremism on the Internet) and sentenced him to one and a half years of suspended imprisonment with a ban on site administration.
According to investigators, the Voronezh resident was a supporter of the Union of Slavic Forces of Russia (USSR), an organization recognized as extremist in July 2019. Since 2017, the man has been posting videos on Youtube “with calls for violence against military personnel, law enforcement officers and civil servants” , and also, while working as a taxi driver, he recruited his clients. He was arrested in September 2019.
