Two more participants in the protest rally in Magas were sentenced to real terms

The Zheleznovodsk City Court of the Stavropol Territory sentenced Aslan Aushev and Bagautdin Myakieva, who participated in protests against the agreement on the new border between Chechnya and Ingushetia. This was reported by MBH Media with reference to lawyers.

According to the publication, Aslan Aushev and Bagautdin Myakiev were found guilty of applying violence to a representative of the authorities. The court sentenced Aushev to 1 year and 8 months of a colony-settlement, Myakiev-by 1 year and 10 months of a colony-settlement.

Earlier it was reported that the Court of the Stavropol Territory sentenced the rally participant in Magas Gelani Khamkhoev by 1 year and 9 months of the colony-settlement. Khamkhoeva was found guilty of the use of violence against the Rosgvardean, but they excluded political motives from his actions.

Also on February 18, the court was sentenced by three more participants in the rally - Zelimkhan Bopkhoev, Adam Badiev and Ahmed Nalgiev. Prior to this, 11 more people received the deadlines.

Protests in Ingushetia took place in March 2019. People went to rallies due to the agreement on the new border with Chechnya, according to which Ingushetia lost part of the territories.

The rallies in the Magas grew into a mass clash with the security forces who tried to disperse activists. After that, criminal cases were instituted against dozens of people.
